The OPA was founded in the fall of 2003 by a group of citizens who were concerned about the loss of Oregon’s cultural heritage. The OPA is a grassroots preservation organization, and its membership comes from various walks of life and from every part the state. One of the things we all share is a deep respect for Oregon’s heritage and a willingness to pull together to preserve and protect that legacy.
The OPA invites you to explore our website to see what’s being preserved, and to learn more about what needs to be done to achieve our goals. One of our primary goals is to foster communication among preservationists around the state and share information about preservation related issues. New information and materials are added regularly, so please plan to visit often.
